Our 35th Anniversary Celebrations

Hello my little snowflakes. I’m back with some exciting news! Now, I’m sure you all will have heard that we’re celebrating our 35th anniversary this year. If you haven't, then I’m here to tell you about all the exciting activity going on!

To mark this exciting anniversary, we’ve created a new video featuring Freya, her family and some new friends! This heart-warming story features a little girl who wandered into the world of Sylvanian Families. She met Freya Chocolate and they became best friends instantly. They spent time together with Freya's family and did everything that best friends do! Over time, their friendship got stronger until one day something happened…

Find out what happened to Freya’s new friend by watching the video here - https://sf35th.sylvanianfamilies.com/brand-film/?l=en-uk

If the adorable new film isn't enough fun for you, then have a look at the brand new products now available on the webshop to commemorate the anniversary! Kicking off the celebrations are the Baby Celebration Marching Band who are ready in their matching uniforms to play everyone's favourite party tunes! Each member of the band comes with their own musical instrument and adorable berets!

Next up are the charming Corgi Family, the newest family to move into the village. This family is exclusive to the online shop and are only available in limited numbers so get your paws on them while you can!

The Rose Garden Tea Set is the perfect set to celebrate the 35th anniversary with elegance. Relax with a hot cup of nettle tea on the pastel coloured garden furniture set. The Snow Rabbit girl is dressed for the occasion in a luxurious pink dress, which matches the rosy tableware and garden accessories.

Finally, celebrate the anniversary in a brand-new home! The Celebration Home is a large house featuring three floors and six sprawling rooms. There is plenty of space for all the family to stay for the celebrations, and a working lift to help you get between floors – it’s controlled by using the weathervane on the roof of the home. The pastel colour scheme means it will fit right in with your other Sylvanian Families products, and the Rose Tea Garden Set will fit perfectly in the garden!

Now, I think that’s all we have time for now. But don't forget, you can view all the Sylvanian Families products on our website, read exciting news and so much more! Visit the site here - https://sylvanianfamilies.co.uk/

New Red Roof Houses

Hello there sweetpea! I’m so glad you called in, I’ve got some very exciting news to tell you!

There have been some big changes in the Chocolate Rabbit household, with some exciting additions to our Cosy Cottage. We like to call it the Red Roof Cosy Cottage now as it’s so much better than before! My very favourite addition is the balcony. I love to stand up on it and watch the world go by for a few minutes before I get ready for school in the mornings. The new shutters are pretty too, perfect for keeping out the cold or keeping it cool at this time of year, phew!

The Red Roof Country Home is rather impressive, with up to three storeys, a beautiful staircase with vines twirling up the bannister and plenty of variations for making different layouts. When it’s connected to the Red Roof Cosy Cottage or the Sweet Raspberry Home we call it the Red Roof Grand Mansion, and my goodness, there’s heaps of space for all sorts of activities!

The Sweet Raspberry Home is perfect for new collectors. I love the way it matches the Red Roof homes, and little Crème has the cutest bed with a ladder to get in and a slide to get out in the morning. The porch is the perfect place to sit with a warm cup of mint tea on summer evenings, and it can even become the downstairs area of the Red Roof Cosy Cottage.

I hope you come and visit soon so I can show you round the lovely new houses!

Last Minute Stocking Fillers

Christmas is just around the corner and I don’t know about you, but I still have lots of things to prepare! This year I’ve decided to make everyone their own little stocking, filled with the sweetest things to bring a smile to their face! Here I’ve made a list of some of the stocking fillers I’m going to get for some of my very closest family and friends - would you like to see it?

First on my list is the Baby Band Series Surprise Pack! These sweet little blind bags all contain a baby figure with their favourite musical instrument. There are 8 figures to collect and the best thing is, they’re always a surprise! Maybe by Boxing Day we’ll have enough to make up a whole band!

Next I need to get the Baby Sleigh Ride Set, with Milo Cakebread and Henry Periwinkle dressed up in the sweetest reindeer and Father Christmas outfits! They’re ready to give out presents to everyone in Sylvanian Village in their bright red sleigh, with their toy Sky Ride Adventure and teddy bear to keep them company.

Let’s see, what’s next on my list? Oh yes! Christmas isn’t complete without some sweet treats, so I’m going to spoil everyone with the Chocolate Lounge! It comes with the prettiest chocolates in truly delicious flavours - my favourite is the chocolate and caramel truffle!

Have you met the Maple Cat Family yet? They’re a very friendly bunch and you can usually find them in the Town, where Theodore drives the tram and Georgina owns the Creamy Gelato Shop.

I’ve saved one of my very favourite presents until last - a membership to the Sylvanian Families Fan Club! Everyone will love finding out all the latest news from Sylvanian Village, with four quarterly magazines, a yearly birthday card and certificate. It also comes with a unique Stella or Tiffany figure, those girls really are rather stylish!

Well, I must be off to go get the rest of my things! It was splendid to catch up and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Introducing Stella X Sylvanian Families Debut Collection!

Hamleys Regent Street today hosted a new designer from the house of Sylvanian Families, whose debut haute couture collection was unveiled at the world’s smallest fashion show!

Stella by Sylvanian Families is the new designer on the block. Her eye-wateringly small couture outfits, handmade in Japan exclusively for her debut Spring/Summer 2018 collection, were worn by models measuring a teeny 9.5cm on the world’s smallest catwalk.

The 40 bespoke outfits encompass a range of styles, from Victorian glamour modernised and interpreted in a Sylvanian way, to this season’s throwback to the glitzy 1980s. Jaw-dropping red-carpet dresses in a rainbow of colours and luxe fabrics are mixed with jewel-studded male suiting in black, burgundy or brown. Despite being made in miniature, the detailing is couture quality: think crystals, embroidery, lace, tulle, faux leather and gold chains. The collection also includes the obligatory show-stopping, diamond-encrusting wedding gown.

Stella’s inspiration comes from the new Sylvanian Families Town – a sophisticated urban environment very different from the rural countryside of the Sylvanian Village – and this collection is most definitely for occasion wear.

She comments: “The Sylvanian Families signature look has always captured a lost innocence, but my new haute couture collection incorporates more urban elements reflecting our modern, diverse lives, as well as seeking to be on-trend with the styling and accessories.  I’m delighted to be showing it in London for the first time this season.”

The world’s smallest catwalk will be on display at street level in the Hamleys window on London’s Regent Street from today until 2nd May. Another catwalk will also be on display until 24th March inclusive. After that it will go ‘on tour’ around the UK as part of a Sylvanian Families roadshow at intu shopping centres.

Welcome to the Sylvanian Families Town

Our new Town has official opened, yippee! Shall we take a tour before it’s bustling with Sylvanians?

Let’s hop on board the Ride Along Tram to travel around the Town. Don’t forget to say a cheery “Good morning” to Theodore Maple Cat, the tram driver who is in charge of taking you on all the adventures.

On your left, you can see the Grand Department Store: the heart of the Town. We’ll take a peek in there later – a good browse around the Fashion, Cosmetic and Beauty Boutique is just what Mother Chocolate ordered! When we’re done, we’ll pass by the Chocolate Lounge for a cup of acorn tea and a sweet nibble.

Now, if you look to the right, you can spot the Designer Studio. This is where Stella, Freya’s older sister, works, making beautiful dresses and garments come to life from just a simple sketch in her workbook. We’ll pop by after a spot of afternoon tea to see if Stella’s all set up for the grand opening. She’s such an inspiration!

Oh, how could I forget! Keep your eyes and ears open for the sound of music while we’re venturing around... Lionel the Lion is the Town’s pianist and he’s been practising every day to make your visit one in a million!

Take a peek ahead of us and you’ll be able to see – and smell - the Delicious Restaurant. *belly rumbles* You’ll know the head chef well; Frasier Chocolate serves the finest food and invents the tastiest tasting menus you ever did see.

If you pop your head round to the left, you’ll be able to spot the Creamy Gelato Shop. In the summer months, we’ll be going there A LOT. What could be better than a gelato in the golden sunshine? The Tram we’re on often does gelato on the go – the counter just slots in simply between the doors so, if you fancy an afternoon treat at work, you can quickly nip out as it travels around the Town.

Well, we’re nearly coming to the end of our tour little one. How are you liking the new Town so far?

Before we hop off at the next stop, there are a couple of store owners that you just have to meet. This is Lulu Golightly and Laura Cakebread – the older sisters of Tiffany and Melinda. I’m sure you’ll all be the best of friends!

Now, why don’t we all catch up over a spot of afternoon tea? My tummy is calling out for a macaron and there is a rainbow of colours to choose from. What a treat!

5 Pieces of Advice from Sylvanians

1) “Be as nice as you can possibly be, and then be that little bit nicer.” – Freya Chocolate

Being nice is just part of being Sylvanian. It’s second nature. Don’t just be as nice as you can. Be that little bit nicer. And strive to be nicer every single day!

2) “Family is the most important of all the things.” – Ewan Dale

Family is right at the heart of Sylvanian values. From yummy dinners to lovely walks through the flowers of Sunshine Hill and alongside the Humming River, family is one of the best things in life! From baking your little sister a cake, to picking flowers for your mother, Sylvanian Village revolves around family life.

3) “Always carry a smile and a story with you wherever you go.” - Abigail Bramble

A smile can help cheer up everyone’s day, and there are plenty of stories to go ‘round in Sylvanian Village. Some say that Gemini Pond is linked to Fairy March in the village so that you can jump into one pond and appear in another. What fun!

Did you hear the one about Sparkle Lake? Father Bear says he spotted a glittering golden fish here when he was a boy and that’s why the surface sparkles like a jewel. Or perhaps you’ve heard the one about the tree in Wondering Grove that makes a mysterious deep boom sound when you hit it with a branch? What wonderful stories!

4) “Nature is your friend.” – Ralph Walnut

Nature is so important, from the beautiful capricious seasons, changing this way and that, to the blades of grass growing under your paws. It’s important to remember to be nice to nature as it’s constantly giving you gifts in the form of leaves, berries and nuts. Next time you see a tree, don’t forget to give it a little cuddle to say thank you!

5) “Appreciate the little things in life, like cake.” – Mother Chocolate

Baking is such fun! And important too! A cup of tea and a slice of cake can cure even the grumpiest of days. Oh, and don’t forget to always take a clean handkerchief out with you on adventures, it could save the day – whether you end up using it as a flag for your boat, or give it to a little one to wipe away their tears.

The Walnut Squirrel Family were one of the very first families to live in Sylvanian Village and are famous for their big bushy tails. You’ll often see them around the village chatting to their friends or visiting the new bakery. They fit into a stocking perfectly, too!

Brrmm brrmm! This 2 seater Convertible Car is just perfect for going on adventures – whizz down to the beach or Secret Island Playhouse for the day with ease! Have the soft top roof open on sunny days and enjoy the breeze through your ears. *whooooosh*

What could be better than the smell of freshly baked bread? The Brick Oven Bakery comes complete with baking trays, bread baskets and a variety of breads, plus Eleanor Bramble to help you run the shop.

Beechwood Hall

Treat a special someone to the luxurious Beechwood Hall this Christmas. The spacious five rooms are spread across two floors and there’s even a reversible floor panel which can be used to add additional living space. A moveable staircase gives you freedom of movement and the balcony is the perfect spot for star gazing.

Well, I do hope you’ve found something special to give this Christmas – I’m sure they’ll love it no matter what!
