Country Doctor

The Chocolate Rabbit Baby’s Day at the Doctors

The doctor at the Forest Clinic is Alex the milk Rabbit Father. All the village babies are having a health check, but the day before Crème the Chocolate Rabbit Baby says,
“I don’t want to go to the doctor! He’s scary!”

Two weeks ago, Coco the Chocolate Rabbit Boy had a cold, and the doctor gave him a needle.
“It really hurt, but I was brave,”
he said, exaggerating a little. But Crème decided she did not like doctors.

Coco thinks this is his fault. He and Freya the Chocolate Rabbit Girl go to see Dr. milk Rabbit Father and Kate the milk Rabbit Mother, the Clinic’s nurse.
She suggests an idea.

“Your doll is hurt,” Coco and Freya tell Crème.
“Let’s take her to the doctor.”
Crème decides to be brave, and they go to the Clinic.
“Don’t worry. She’ll be better soon,” the doctor says.

“Help me make her better.”
He lends Crème his stethoscope. She is afraid at first, but soon she feels like a doctor herself.
“You’ll be better soon,” she says kindly.

Now Crème is not afraid any more.
“I like doctors,” she says.
“I’ll come tomorrow, too.”
Dr. milk Rabbit Father and Kate look at each other and smile.

The next day, all the village babies are at the Clinic having have their heights measured, and being weighed.
“They’ve grown!” the doctor says as they run happily about.
“I really want to keep them all healthy,” he thinks.
